For fifty years, the 1972 strangulation/drowning murders of Bryce and Virginia Durham and their son Bobby on a winter's night in Boone, NC were unsolved. In 2022, the local sheriff's office announced their killers had finally been identified as four men associated with the Dixie Mafia.
