Are you interested in being one of our respected freelance reviewers? In having your opinions of upcoming titles heard first by the many librarians and booksellers who read our magazine? You may be in luck!

We’ve been in this business for over two decades, and some of our reviewers have been working with us for almost as long. These freelance reviewers come from a range of backgrounds. They include PhD students, businesspeople, published authors, librarians, and teachers. We’d love to hear where you’d fit in!

Reviewers are paid $55 per review and have a month to complete each assignment. The books you receive are always yours to keep, and you never have to accept any assignment that you’re not interested in.

We hire on a rolling basis, so if you’re interested in adding your name to our rolls, here’s what you need to do:

Send our managing editor, Michelle Anne Schingler, a note of inquiry at mschingler@forewordreviews.com. Be sure to let her in on your areas of expertise. If you have a CV or resume handy, attach it; if not, provide a rundown of your background and what you’re interested in reading. You will be prompted to complete a sample review in our unique, professional style.
