Starred Review:

A Family like Ours

Every type of family is acknowledged and celebrated in this affirming picture book. The detailed illustrations give a nod to realism, with special attention being paid to the diverse variety of faces throughout; numerous races, sexual orientations, and gender expressions are represented. Families are big and small, near and far, blood and found in this picture book that defines family only by the love that its members share.
