A Human for Kingsley
Kingsley the dog decides the time has come for him to own a human, but he has trouble finding the right one in this picture book about the unconditional love between pets and their people. Whimsical details tucked into the pencil and watercolor illustrations—such as a sign spinner’s “buy stuff this way” sign—enhance the tale as Kingsley rejects human after human before finding a perplexing little girl who might be just the person he needs.
