Mighty Star and the Castle of the Cancatervater
The Cancatervater, a monster constructed of old ideas, terrorizes Earth in his flying castle, kidnapping artists, scientists, and a librarian in order to gain a flesh body made of new culture. Luckily, flying hero Mighty Star is on the case, and he’s not alone. From the support of Dr. Feather and Professor Chienfuegos (the world’s smartest dog) to the healing power of the mystical Varvaras (three constellations personified) to self-sufficient librarian Honey Hush, defeating the Cancatervater and escaping the castle is a team effort. Of course, nothing is ever as simple as it seems; there’s something sinister evolving in the castle’s lower level. This is a comic that begs for rereading. Gorgeous inked panels are filled to the brim with art and, aside from introductory character pages, are devoid of words.
