My Love for You
Members of the animal kingdom—toucans, elephants, and humans among them—all share the same bedtime ritual in this heartfelt picture book. The illustrations are simple, devoid of backgrounds to focus solely on the mothers and their children. For every pair, the child describes how much they love their mother, and the mother returns the sentiment before encouraging the child to sleep. The story ends with a mother’s expanded answer to a child’s question: “Will you tell me how you love me?”
