Sukaq and the Raven

A creation story from the Indigenous people of Canada’s Northwest Territories is brought to life through the delicate illustrations of this bedtime story. Sukaq enjoys falling asleep to his mother’s stories; his favorite is one about a raven creating the world. The colorful illustrations play with texture and patterns as they depict star-streaked night skies, the ombre layers of a blooming flower, and snow dusting the raven’s blended blue and purple wings.
