The Someday List
The Someday List by Stacy Hawkins Adams (Revell 978-0-8007-3266-0) is another story about dealing with the past and finding God in the process. Rachelle realizes she hardly knows herself after she attends a farewell party for a friend who is dying of cancer. When she tries to make a list of goals she wants to achieve before she dies Rachelle realizes she doesnt have any hopes that arent her husbands or childrens. She needs a break from her ambitious self-centered husband and ends up in her old college town. She is repeatedly thrown into the path of her ex-husband Troy and she comes to realize that maybe it isnt coincidence that has brought them both back to Jubilant Texas. Rachelle has to find God and resolve her lingering feelings for Troy before she can make things work with her husband.
As she begins to work on her relationship with God her husband does the same on his mission trip in Uganda. As the two of them deal with the skeletons in their closets they decide to come back to each other and start over. Adams is an Essence bestselling author. She is also the author of the Spirit and Soul series of novels.
