When Marin’s parents tell her they’re getting divorced—or, in a parallel universe, they don’t—her life is split in two. Things that one Marin puts up with—a narcissistic mother and a buoyant yet selfish best friend—the other never would. But then, the other can’t stop fighting long enough to get who or what she wants. Marin must decide, in both scenarios, how far she’ll go—and who she’s willing to sacrifice—to save herself.
