The Chief’s Revenge
The Chief’s Revenge is about Éabhla, a girl who is trapped in her own home that is also a bookshop. Her adoptive mother, Maloire, and her brother, Sté, insist that she stays indoors. When she goes outside, she has to stay by their side. She feels suffocated and can’t wait for the day she is free. When Éabhla hits the age of sixteen, she decides that enough is enough and escapes her bookshop prison. She soon realizes, however, that there was a very good reason she was kept inside.
