To the Stars through Difficulties

Andrew Carnegie built 59 libraries in Kansas in the 1910s but it was frontier women who came together to buy books to fill them. When Angie returns to her father's hometown of New Hope to finish her dissertation on the libraries, she gets caught up in efforts of quilt makers to help build a cultural center in the neighboring town which has just been devastated by a tornado. Women are inspired to action by found journal entries.
